Acknowledgments

This open educational resource textbook was originally created by Steven Earle of BCCampus Open Education of British Columbia, Canada. It was upon seeing this that I was inspired to make something like this but with majority Colorado themes and examples. As such, I must first thank Steven for creating the original work and for providing me the inspiration. The core, or universal, content of this book (i.e., taught across the majority of Physical Geology courses) has been preserved and is the work of Steven Earle. Any examples or references to Colorado were inserted by me. As more Colorado examples are thought of, they will be inserted. Think of this work as always “in progress.”

I would next like to personally thank Lisa Chestnut and Mitch Cota of Arapahoe Community College (ACC) – Littleton, Colorado. Lisa is the Director of Library and Learning Commons at ACC, and was the one to award me the opportunity to remix this work. Mitch is a Reference and OER Librarian, who was a great help in getting Pressbooks activated and getting me off on the right foot in editing this work. I would also like to thank Rosann Poltrone, Faculty of Geography, Geology and Environmental Science, for her support in this endeavor. Last, but surely not least, I would like to thank my wife, Courtney. If it were not for her ultimate support and understanding of the long, extra hours needed to finish editing this work, this Colorado version of Physical Geology would not be possible!
