Creative Commons Licenses
The CC license elements described previously are contained in some combination within each Creative Commons license. Each license contains the base element BY, indicating the license requires attribution. The remaining elements can be combined within the license to indicate additional rights that the creator has reserved.
Overview of the six common licenses

CC BY | The least restrictive license is CC BY. This Creative Commons license allows the user to utilize the work in any way they like as long as they give attribution to the creator. |

CC BY-SA | Creative Commons license which allows users to utilize the work in any way under the conditions that they attribute the creator and ShareAlike with others. |

CC BY-NC | Creative Commons license which requires attribution of the creator and only allows use for noncommercial purposes. |

CC BY-NC-SA | Creative Commons license requiring attribution, sharing with others under the same license, and allows only noncommercial use. |

CC BY-ND | Creative Commons license which requires attribution but does not allow the user to create any derivatives of the work. |

CC BY-NC-ND | Most restrictive form of Creative Commons licensing that requires attribution and cannot be used to create derivatives or for commercial uses. |
