The P\/E ratio equals the company's\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/investing\/how-to-invest\/stocks\/how-are-stock-prices-determined\/\">stock price<\/a>\u00a0divided by its most recently reported earnings per share (EPS). A low P\/E ratio implies that an investor buying the stock is receiving an attractive amount of value.<\/p>\r\n<p data-block-key=\"vs82l\">As an example, let's calculate the P\/E ratio for\u00a0<b>Walmart<\/b>\u00a0(<span class=\"font-bold whitespace-nowrap\" data-id=\"206096\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fool.com\/quote\/nyse\/wmt\/\">WMT<\/a>\u00a0<span class=\"text-green-900 ticker-change\">0.48%<\/span><\/span>).
